[She nods once, as the elevator finally decides that yes, this is the floor that called it, and in she goes.]

I'll make it work. We will make it work. [She corrects.] Thank you. I really am grateful that you're helping today.

[With a nod and another little sound of agreement, he follows her inside, sparing a short glance at her as she thanks him again...and letting another trace of a smile grace his features.

[The wheel of Fortune clearly wanted to see otherwise that day, because now, she has a devout companion, someone she can rely on. Someone that would help her see everything through to its end, no matter what it might have been. Someone who would actually care for who she really was, and who would be there no matter the cost.

He nods simply in response. [You should know only bad things happen when it rains, Souji. And that it's a precursor for things to come...

But that's for another time.

For today, there's work to be done, which fortunately goes by without a hitch. A couple of minor hiccups, but they're all sorted out thanks to Lucina's leadership and to Souji's assistance. As a team, they manage to cover anything that does come in and delegate the work.

When it comes to Aiya, though...

... it would go without saying she'd get her money's worth. And that for the rest of the night on a rather full stomach, she'd wonder just what was in the bowl. So full, can't move.]
